Don\u2019t Ignore This"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Recurrent urine infections are not \u201cbad luck.\u201d They always have an underlying reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patients often come to me saying, \u201cDoctor, antibiotics help, but the infection returns.\u201d<br>That\u2019s because antibiotics treat the infection, not the cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Common reasons for recurrent UTIs include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Incomplete bladder emptying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kidney or bladder stones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prostate enlargement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Structural urinary issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diabetes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long-term catheter use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Repeated infections can slowly damage the urinary tract and kidneys if ignored. In women, anatomical factors may contribute. In men, recurrent UTIs almost always signal obstruction or prostate-related issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Treating recurrent UTIs requires proper evaluation \u2014 not repeated antibiotics.
